How a job runs, from the first call to the last walkthrough
Five steps, in the same order every time. The point of writing them down is that you should know what happens next at every stage rather than waiting to find out.

1. The qualifying call
Jose or the office qualifies the job by phone first. That call establishes what the wall is doing, how big the building is, how many stories, what access looks like and whether this is a repair, a resurface or a full rebuild.
It is a short conversation and it saves everyone a wasted visit. Some jobs can be started from photographs. Most cannot, and the call is what sorts one from the other.
2. Free consultation, usually the same or next day
Someone comes out and looks at the actual wall. That is where the difference between a surface problem and an assembly problem gets settled, and where anything behind the finish that will change the scope is identified rather than assumed.
There is no charge for the consultation and no obligation attached to it.
3. Written proposal
The proposal covers scope, material, finish and price. It is written down so you can read it, compare it and ask about it, rather than a number given verbally on a doorstep.
Where permits or engineering are involved, that is identified here too. Requirements vary by city and by scope, and we confirm with your local building department before quoting. On larger jobs the sequencing plan is part of this document as well, which is covered on the exterior remodeling page.
4. Deposit, permits, and a scheduled start
A deposit is collected to reserve the start date and the terms are set out in writing in the proposal. Permits are in hand before the crew arrives rather than chased once the work has begun.
You get a start date and a schedule, and if weather or cure time moves it, you hear about it from us rather than working it out from an empty driveway.
5. Daily cleanup and a final walkthrough
The crew cleans up at the end of each day, on interior and exterior work. On an occupied building that is not a courtesy, it is what keeps walkways and entries usable.
A final walkthrough closes the job before invoicing, and anything on that list is finished before the job is called done. The two year warranty against water intrusion on exterior stucco starts from there.

What happens if the scope changes mid job?
It is documented and priced in writing before the work goes ahead. Rot found behind a wall is the most common example.
